Until we opened our doors buying, selling and renting properties in Zanzibar was a confusing and difficult process for people. Surprisingly the biggest hurdle used to be finding out what was available due to the traditional selling method: word of mouth. Other issues included; lack of knowledge about local customs, difficulty understanding the legal processes and lacking the right contacts to speed a sale or rental along.
